What is National Bingo Night?
Considering the popularity of Bingo it is no wonder that some clever producer thought up the idea of a semi interactive game show that is based around the traditional Bingo game. National Bingo Night is produced live in front of an audience which also takes part in the game. How the game basically works is that there are contestants who have forfeits or you could call them tasks, to perform. In the time that they are performing the tasks, numbers are called from a Bingo pot. The contestant needs to finish his task before someone from the audience gets Bingo, i.e. a full line or card depending on which level the game is at. If Bingo is called before the contestant finishes his task then the contestant not only loses but the audience member that called Bingo wins a cash prize.

National Bingo Night can also be played from home. Before the start of the show, viewers can download the Bingo cards for that show and print them on a home computer. The bingo cards are color coded per game i.e. for each show there are three games, red, white and blue. Each bingo card holds three games. Per show, a viewer can only submit one card. If a viewer has Bingo then he can log into the website of the ABC network under the National Bingo Night show, at the end of the show and put in the bar code that is on his Bingo card.
