The Many Developments of Blackjack
Blackjack was originally invented as a gambling game. While many variations of blackjack exist, the house advantage inherent in all of them made blackjack ideally suited for serving as a casino card game. Thus it stood for many years, a card game where luck ruled and the house held the advantage. Skill and strategy could bring this advantage to a minimum but the minimum was still there.
